The Tuned Downpipes

These are made from cut lengths of plastic drainpipe to tune them to the key of F with semi tone adjusters that can be added.

The instrument covers one and half octaves and is played with padded bats hit or bounced off the ends. They make a happy sound because of the percussive nature of the tuned notes.
